Cost-of-living is impacting more severely as each year passes.

The state government’s decision to remove $6.7 million in Grants from the annual budget of the Rockhampton Regional Council – however it may be dressed up- is absolutely unacceptable and is contributing to the cost of living pressures on homeowners and renters.

No local government can be expected to absorb a loss of this magnitude from its annual operational budget.
