New authors, aspiring writers and those interested in supporting our local writing community will find some gems in the library calendar this month.
Writing Friday, facilitated by Queensland Writers Centre volunteers, will be held every Friday in the Southside Library Fitzroy Room.
The sessions will run from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and are a must for anyone who agrees with famous children's author C S Lewis that "You can make anything by writing"!
Participants will be presented with a writing challenge and will have to write within a certain time frame - the concept is based on developing writing practice opportunities for aspiring writers. At the end of the writing, there will be an opportunity to share stories.
Participants just need to bring pens, pencils and paper to participate.
All library events are FREE.
